Be Your Own Bike Mechanic is offered as a 6-week course at our Bike School. Throughout the course you’ll learn about all aspects of your bike, from the quick releases to the bottom bracket. By the final class students will be able to deconstruct their bike, identify mechanical problems, and put it all back together again. This popular series is taught by professional mechanics and educators from the Gear Hub who love sharing their knowledge of bicycles.

Mondays, May 1 - June 5, 3:30 - 5:30 PM

All classes are taught at the Portland Gear Hub Bike School located at 85 Anderson St., Portland, ME. 

Class sizes are small to ensure high quality instruction for each student and enough space and time to cover the nuances of each person’s bicycle.
