The Portland Gear Hub is hosting 3 one-day events throughout the summer for kids ages 3 – 11 to earn bikes at no cost. At each Kids Bike Party, kids will walk through different stations learning about bike safety and helmet fit before earning their newly refurbished bike! The bikes are all single speed bikes with a coaster brake ranging in size from a 12-1/2″ wheel to a 20″ wheel. Eligible kids include those whose families are enrolled in our Bikes for All Mainers program (this year or past participants) as well as any family without the economic means to purchase a bike from a local bike shop.
