Be A Bike Mechanic is a 4-week course where you will learn the basics of bicycle mechanics by working on Portland Gear Hub bikes that will eventually be donated via our programs. The course will have you adjusting brakes, shifting, bearing systems, truing wheels, replacing cables and more. 

This class is taught by Jake.     

Class sizes are small to ensure high quality instruction for each student and enough space and time to cover the nuances of each person’s bicycle. This class will have a maximum of 4 students. 

Classes are designed for adults, ages 18+. For anyone under age 18 interested in signing up, we ask that you reach out to us directly.   

Classes cannot be refunded within 7 days of the start date or after the class has begun. If you can no longer attend the class you signed up for and it is within 7 days of the start date, you can receive credit for a future class. We cannot process a refund or transfer credit after the class has begun.
